FesTiv was created in partnership between the TV station ITV Westcountry, the independent radio station, Gemini, and the local paper, Western Morning News. The FesTiv group looks to promote local goods from the Tiverton and Exe Valley area.

FesTiv also looks to help other similar groups such as the 'Taste of Devon', ''Taste of Somerset' and Cornwall. These schemes help make the various pannier market into the engine for the local economies.

Tiverton Pannier market and is going worldwide on UKTV using the Satellite TV companies 'Food Hero' competition. This competition encourages and celebrates local produce by showing what local areas can do.

The Tiverton Pannier Market's, Local Produce Collection Scheme and six Market regulars are the lucky ones which have been entered have been entered into this competition.

Councillor Ray Radford remarked, "The number of entries in the Local Food Hero Competition from the Tiverton Pannier Market regulars confirmed local support for local producers."
